An incredibly talented couple decided it was time to purchase their first home. After relocating to the area for their job, we got busy looking til we found the perfect one. Some of the important items…a place where dad could play the saxophone and watch the LSU Tigers play football! The home we found in Hunt Club Subdivision in Pooler, Georgia met that criteria exactly with 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths!! An incredible new construction home that I’m sure will be the talk of the the LSU Fan Club on game day! What a lot of fun to work with James & Raisha and also, adorable little Ethan! Congrats on that beautiful new home!! $185,000.00

Going International…
This past Friday, I attended a course “Going Mobile for Global” and there’s never been a better time to learn more about foreign investors. In the fall of 2011, Savannah, Georgia was unanimously approved for a World Trade Center to be located on Hutchinson Island. With this approval, Savannah will join 330 other cities including Atlanta with such a center for international business. The center is expected to develop in phases, initially focusing on helping companies increase their revenues through global expansion and bringing foreign investment into the region for small and medium-sized companies.
As a Realtor in the Savannah market, gearing up for what could be endless possibilities for foreign investments in our beloved southern city, is essential to providing the best possible service. In 2011, obtaining the “Certified International Property Specialist” designation proves to have been the right choice for me considering Savannah’s future. This designation provides me with the knowledge, research, network and tools to globalize my business just for this occasion!
If you were considering making that move to Savannah, now is the time and prepare for the international flare our city will offer its’ residents in the upcoming year!

Relocation clients say a few words…
It was such a pleasure having Janet Howard as our realtor. When first meeting with Janet we were new
to the area and she was extremely resourceful in helping us get to know Savannah. Janet was always
willing to go the extra mile for us when trying to find the perfect home and did a great job researching
what homes met our needs. She made the process easy and enjoyable. We are extremely pleased with
our new home and the amount of effort and consideration Janet took in to helping us find what we
were looking for.

Did you know?

Despite all of the doom and gloom in the news about real estate, I bet there is one thing most Savannahians didn’t know. To date, out of the 4,125 real estate transactions in the Realtor database, Savannah and the low country had 20 sales of properties of a million dollars or more. Unbelievable you say, well it’s true. With an average 402 “active days on the market” (the amount of time a property has been listed for sale), buyers still came out to spend their money in 2011.
With this ever changing market, buyers are still interested in buying with rates still at historic lows. Though this price range hardly makes up a large percentage of the sales for the low country, it does make a person wonder, do they know something we don’t? Is now actually the “right” time to spend that kind of money? Whatever the case may be, I’m excited to see we have this type of activity in the coastal empire.
If you’re wondering where these purchases took place, fifteen of the sales were on the islands (including Isle of Hope, Skidaway, Talahi, Tybee, Whitemarsh, Wilmington Island) with three in Historic Savannah and one in the area of Vernonburg. *All numbers deemed accurate but subject to information provided by Savannah Multi-List.
Custom Home in Lost Plantation
What fun! This couple relocating to the area searched high and low for the perfect home! After searching, the couple just couldn’t find what they could “fall in love” with. So, in comes Lamar Smith (a local builder) who had the perfect lot for the perfect house in Lost Plantation. The plan was amazing but still didn’t give the house any credit for how magnificent it truly is! During construction, the couple also learned of a new addition on the way which made this home even more exciting! This has been such a treat to see these plans become a beautiful home and knowing its completed just in time for the new baby! $289,480
2012 Leadership Orientation for WCR
Earlier this month the upcoming officers and committee members for the Savannah Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors traveled to Atlanta for the Leadership Orientation. At this meeting members are able to meet with State Officers and other chapter members to gain valuable insight on how to provide an exceptional plan for the upcoming year. It’s always a treat to see everyone and brainstorm on how to provide members with more value for their membership.
After the meeting, our group discussed great ideas on what we plan to bring to Savannah in 2012. As the incoming President for Savannah’s Chapter, I feel we have a terrific group of women that are dedicated to making 2012 memorable. If you are not familiar with the Women’s Council of Realtors organization, the time is now! With the challenging times of the economy and just down right frustrating obstacles in the way of the real estate industry, these members work together to provide a terrific support system, ideas on how to improve your business and most importantly, expose yourself to other professionals in this industry locally, statewide and nationally. For more information on becoming a member, a business partner, or a sponsor, call me today at 912.210.0511.

Relocation customer says…
When folks are moving to the area, sometimes they aren’t ready to purchase a home. That’s the case for this couple relocating from Tallahassee. Luckily, I was able to meet them and show them around to explain the “lay of the land”. The couple found a suitable rental home and had this to say….
“Janet, We ended up renting the house in Morgan Pines. It ended up that we liked the stand alone home as opposed to the townhome. However, I do want to say thank you for taking the time so show us the area and give us your expert insight into greater Savannah. My wife and I agree you are by far the best realtor we dealt with and will certainly contact you if and when we choose to purchase a house. Thanks again for all your help, Jason V.”

Dutch Island Home Sells
In the spring I met this fantastic couple looking for a waterfront home. Of course I was delighted to get started since this is such a passion for me personally. We looked at numerous homes and just couldn’t get the “feel” we were looking for until we saw Liberty Creek. It had everything a growing family could ask for water, space, views and so much more! It wasn’t long before our offer was accepted and closed! This was a great experience for me to see a family filled with so much joy and know the memories they will create will last a lifetime! $695,000 22 Liberty Creek Drive
